Hello everyone! I'm here to round up some stunning inspiration for you this Spring weekend so make sure you catch some time to create and get your stories documented using the delightful goodies that Lynn has brought to the store at The Lilypad this week!
The April Kit has a combination of striking colours and soft tones so there's bound to be something for everyone here! There's word art too that make super page titles or you have the option of creating your own title using the alpha set that's part and parcel of this lovely collection.
I love the linear design of chigirl's Life is Good page. Using the April Kit and inspired by Lynn's Follow the Line Album template set, the centre photo is balanced with additional frames either side. The ditzy flower print and butterfly are so pretty, I feel like I'm walking through a meadow of gorgeous wild flowers! The block to the left is a coordinating journal card to this kit (you can see the journal cards a little further down in the post) which is topped off with the short and sweet journaling. The gorgeous banner grounds the frames beautifully and the rub ons and little flowers are perfect additions. One thing I totally love on a page is simple detail. A contradiction in terms I know, but if you check out the simple and elegant corner frames to the top left and right corners of the outside frames, I think you'll see what I mean! A terrific page!
I mentioned coordinating journal cards for the April Kit and here they are. Such a super addition that makes scrapping on the hop so easy! When you're short for time, this set of journal cards are already decorated so they can take pride of place on a layout in a few easy clicks or, alternatively, you can add to them to give them your own twist.
ArmyGrl's Hello Lovely page shows off the razza-ma-dazzle of one of the April Journal Cards beautifully. See how it packs a punch on her page? A cleverly designed page using elements and masks to create the left hand border, the eye moves easily to the focus of her page and onto the pretty border work to the right, creating that design triangle that never fails to make for a fine piece of art. Genius!
Following on with the pinks is the Margot Mini Kit. This little treasure is bound to bring out the dancer in all of us with it's pretty pinks and greens, and the soft muted tones, the delicately patterned paper and
the coordinating elements.
The Margot Mini Kit was the perfect choice for Diane's (dvhoward) Dance page. How cute is this little dancer?! Diane used a mask to create space in the patterned backdrop to allow her photo to shine and she used one of the postage stamps from the kit as the frame for her photo. Now that's thinking outside of the box in my book! So very effective. The carefully constructed little cluster grounds the pretty banner, drawing the eye to the title of the page. Finished off with a spot of journaling, this page is a winner!

And when you've finished creating your very own masterpieces (because I guarantee you'll create more than one!), make sure you upload them to Lynn's gallery at The Lilypad! Till next time, take care and happy scrapping!
