Happy weekend everyone! I hope you've all had a good week. Mine has been super busy with the day job so I'm more than ready to grab some time for myself this weekend. If you're up for doing the same, check out Lynn's new goodies in the store at The Lilypad!
I was quick to pick up the Ashby Mini Kit - those subtle, vintage tones were perfect for a photo I wanted to scrap of my grandson which you can find here. The Ashby Mini Kit has a great selection of papers and elements with a beach/seaside feel in the most gorgeous shades of red, teal and brown.
Templates are always a great go-to if your mojo isn't playing along. I love Lynn's Springboard series, they do exactly that, provide a springboard for you to create your own twist on a page by adding a few more elements to compliment your photo or to elaborate your story. Take a look at Springboard No. 9 that are now in the store at The Lilypad. They can be used as traditional templates or for those of you who like to blend, you can blend away!
Here's Eyeore's page entitled 'Let's Escape', created with both the Ashby Mini Kit and Springboard No. 9. I love how Eyeore has taken the template and added a personal touch by addicting some of those lovely elements in the mini kit to enhance her page. The detail here is terrific and makes for a delightful page!
Great minds think alike, they say, and here's a lovely page, 'Pool Time' that dvhoward created also using the Ashby Mini Kit and Springboard No. 9. dvhoward took the other template and with great use of patterned paper and also adding elements from Ashby Mini Kit, her page has a wonderful, playful feel!
Not to leave the pinks out this week and staying with the vintage theme is the Kibblewick Kit. This kit is definitely on my wish list after I saw wvsandy's page, 'Mama Robin'. It's so pretty and wvsandy has made super use of the beautiful patterned paper while the Worn Tops Templates adds dimension and the pretty flower cluster adds great depth. A lovely page for such sweet photo's!
