Despite the warm weather we've had in the UK this week, I have started to notice things are starting to turn every so slightly autumnal. My baskets and planters are passed their best. The nights are drawing in and in a little over a week it's going to be September. But Autumn is a season which I love! Lynn's new kit this week, Going to Be Good, brings some of those autumnal colours to my mind. The oranges, the yellows and the browns. I love how this kit relates to the start of a new school year that is synonymous with Autumn here in the UK, yet incorporates the autumnal colours that I like so much.
wvsandy put this new kit to good use, choosing an assortment of embellishments and layering them so beautifully. I love all the little detail tucked behind the photo and there's those beautiful autumnal colours I've been talking about! A really pretty page!
Continuing with the school theme, check out Lynn's Numeration Brushes that are also new in the store at The Lilypad this week. I love these!
chigirl combined both the Going to be Good Kit and the Numeration Brushes to create this masterpiece. I love the numbered backdrop, the carefully structured clusters of elements and the banner that appears to strap the layout together like the straps of a satchel!
djp332 also used the Going to be Good Kit and a couple of the Numeration Brushes to support the context of her story and the word strips are a perfect fit for her page. Beautifully done!
And for something a little different, these little fellows certainly made me smile when I saw them in the store! How cute are these?!
And look how they compliment dvhoward's photo on her page entitled 'A Little Birdie'! I love the bold elements on this page and the title work is terrific!
lorryfach had the perfect story too. I particularly like that the birds appear to be walking along her title and that photo is just adorable!
I hope you find some time this weekend to check out these new products in the store, add them to your cart and document a story or a memory of your own - I'd love to see what you create in the gallery at The Lilypad! See you there!
