Hi all! Lynn has three wonderful kits available at The Lilypad as her contribution to the BYOC this month and her CT has been busy making magic with them on a great variety of layouts. The beauty of her Blue Skies Ahead elements, Blue Skies Ahead papers, and Blue Skies Ahead Transfers is that they work well if you are a single kit scrapper or if you like to mix and match with other kits and/or designers. Lynn's Blue Skies Ahead Transfers are also PERFECT for her June Blog C
It's BYOC time at The Lilypad! It is wonderful that it comes along just in time for NSD. Lynn has three beautiful kits titled "Adventure Calls" (Elements, Papers, Journal Cards) as her contribution to the collection this month. Lynn's Creative Team used the kits for a fantastic array of layouts. Look and see!!! Each layout is linked to Lynn's gallery so you can see all the details about each page. Donna aka djp332 "The Missing Piece" Lynn's kits work beautifully with the
It is officially Autumn here in New Zealand, although we are still having some wonderfully hot and sunny days.
But I do feel that I was robbed of summer after a disastrous attempt at a summer break in the sunny North.
After spending Christmas with family we got quite a way on our drive North before The Husband admitted to a nagging doubt that he hadn't actually booked the holiday home. A search of his laptop confirmed that we had nowhere to go, so we turned tail and head
After I have created a page I often feel the need for a finishing touch to pull everything together or 'ground' the page.
One of my 'go to' solutions for that is to add a page framer. And they have just arrived at The Lilypad and are 50% off today as part of SOSN Wednesday: If you are posting online you might want to add a stroke to the white borders - but I actually love the effect when you don't: There's also a new template set in store that is, of course, also 50% off: A
When Daughter-Two was a newborn we decided it was time to upgrade to one of those fancy "digital' cameras everyone was talking about.
So we went along to a megastore and asked the scruffy but apparently knowledgeable youth that approached us about our options. We mentioned that we were also considered upgrading our old video camera.
That was our big mistake (although listening to the spotty youth at all was the real mistake) because he said the obvious solution would be t
When we were in England a year ago, The Husband was given the choice of where to go one day. He picked Bletchley Park, the wartime home of the codebreakers led by Alan Turing.
We had not yet seen the movie set at Bletchley Park ("The Imitation Game") but it was still fun to see - and sit in! - the sets which were included in the exhibition ... and Daughter-Two cried at the quote prominent on the wall. It was (along with lots of episodes of Downton Abbey) the inspiration fo
What do they say in your house?
Sadly, our house is very quiet on the animal noises (apart from the VERY noisy cicadas which chirp outside all the time at the moment as it is high summer).
Daughter-Two is horrendously allergic to cats, and our mad crazy dog went to live with my sister when we had to move into a rented house a couple of years back when relocating - and they are too much in love to split up!
Actually, what dogs and cats say depends on where you live. Goog
It's Something Old, Something New Time at The Lilypad with 50% off my Rosie Kit, Battered Backgrounds and a new template set.
The Rosie kit was created to scrap Daughter-Two's toddler album, from her favourite hat: To her favourite books: And fun with Daddy: The worn and distressed theme continues with this big collection of worn, textured backgrounds: And a template set with worn, torn paper that you can use for either double or single page layouts: #TheLilypad #digitalscr
Can you see the question mark at the end of that title?
The wooden wordart doesn't come with it, but I had to add it because I think that "Love Bug" was probably the last thing my parents called me (even though it is what we call our youngest all the time). I cried all the time apparently, and food and I were never friends.
It's the first Friday of the month and that means it's BYOC (Build Your Own Collaboration kit) at The Lilypad.
The colour palette given to all the d
There's no better time to scrap what you love than February, when all the Valentines and love themed product hits the store.
But if the idea of creating and sharing a heartfelt love-themed layout about your own relationship is a little too much, there are plenty of other things to focus on - in my case my love of the old family photographs I have inherited AND my love of travelling with my favourite people. I used the "Just Be Mine" minikit which is arriving at The Lilypad
It's an exciting time around here for our youngest who is heading off to High School (as they do here in New Zealand at 13).
It took a long time to find a dress for her graduation from primary school (aka elementary school) at the end of last year, because even though she is taller than me there is no way she could fit a woman's dress from the local shops. I finally found a glittery moon and stars dress online - very appropriate given her love of astronomy and astro-physics
Hi everyone I'm here today to show you how to do more realistic shadows using the smudge tool in PS .
